Normally, when water is electrolyzed, acidic water (anode water) and alkaline water (cathode water) are generated. With conventional alkaline ionized water devices and electrolyzed reduced water generation devices, as the hydrogen levels increase, the pH value becomes strongly alkaline, at 10.5 or higher, rendering the water unsuitable for drinking. Real Draft 1.6 is hydrogen-saturated water that has a neutral pH value equivalent to that of human body water, and was developed using unique electrolyzed technology.
Compared with alkaline ionized water and electrolyzed reduced water, Real Draft 1.6 water has over ten times the concentration of hydrogen (1 to 3mg/L), while maintaining a neutral pH value, giving it an extremely powerful oxidation reduction (anti-oxidant) capacity. The illustration above is a water oxidation-reduction distribution graph. The horizontal axis gives the pH value, while the vertical axis shows the oxidation reduction potential (mV). When water is electrolyzed, acidic water is generated on the anode side and alkaline water is generated on the cathode side. The lower the pH value, the stronger the acidity of the water and the higher the oxidation reduction potential on the acidic (positive electro potential) side.
Conversely, the higher the pH value, the more the oxidation potential will indicate the reduction (negative electro potential) side. These have been the accepted facts till now.
